FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS URTOPIA CARBON 1 ST EBIKE | FORT MYERS BEACH | CURRENT RIDERS

What does the Urtopia Carbon 1 ST eBike weigh, and is it easy to transport or lift?

The Urtopia Carbon 1 ST weighs just 36 pounds—which is nearly half the weight of most aluminum electric bikes. That makes it one of the lightest e-bikes available in Southwest Florida. Its ultra-light frame makes it easy to lift into a car, carry upstairs, or store in tight condo garages around Fort Myers Beach. The frame is built with Toray carbon fiber—the same material used in Formula 1 racing—so it’s incredibly strong while being lightweight. Whether you’re loading it into an SUV for a ride at Lakes Regional Park in Fort Myers or storing it away after cruising through the Gordon River Greenway in Naples, the Carbon 1 ST is built for easy transport and everyday convenience.

Why is the Urtopia Carbon 1 ST’s carbon fiber frame better than aluminum on electric bikes?

A carbon fiber frame makes a big difference when riding electric bikes in Southwest Florida. The Urtopia Carbon 1 Step-Thru is built from Toray carbon fiber—the same material used in Formula 1 race cars—making it 50% lighter than most aluminum e-bikes and up to 35 times stronger. That lighter weight means easier climbs on bridges like the Sanibel Causeway and better handling in coastal winds on bike paths along the Gulf of Mexico. Carbon fiber also absorbs road vibrations, so long rides down Sanibel-Captiva Road to J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge feel smoother and more comfortable. The best part? Unlike aluminum, carbon fiber won’t corrode in salty coastal air—making it the best year-round frame material for your electric bike riding around Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Beach, and anywhere along the Gulf Coast.

What GPS, anti-theft, and smart features are built into the Urtopia Carbon 1 Step-Thru eBike?

The Carbon 1 ST comes with Urtopia’s Smartbar, which is an integrated display that’s much smarter than just a phone on your handlebars. It includes 4G connectivity, live GPS tracking, anti-theft alerts, and built-in navigation, so you can get turn-by-turn directions without pulling out your phone. That’s useful when riding scenic routes like Gulf Shore Boulevard South in Naples or Indian Hill Trail on Marco Island, where staying hands-free lets you enjoy the views. The Smartbar also includes features like movement alarms, geo-fencing, and “Find My Bike” tracking—perfect for peace of mind when parking at busy spots like Times Square or downtown Fort Myers. Also, you can customize the motor settings through the Urtopia app to match how you want to ride around Southwest Florida.

How far can the Urtopia Carbon 1 ST Step-Thru eBike go, and how fast does the battery charge?

The Urtopia Carbon 1 Step-Thru can travel up to 80 miles on a single charge, which gives you more than enough range for electric bike rides in Southwest Florida. You could cruise from Bonita Beach Road to Fifth Avenue South in Naples and back, or spend all day exploring Sanibel and Captiva Island without worrying about range. The Samsung Li-ion battery recharges in just 2.5 hours, so you can easily top it off over lunch and head back out in the afternoon. Since the Urtopia Carbon 1 ST weighs just 36 pounds, the motor doesn’t have to work as hard—so you get better range whether you're climbing bridges into Cape Coral or riding to your favorite beach along the Gulf Coast. Stop by Current Riders in Fort Myers Beach to take it for a spin and see how far carbon fiber can take you.

Is the Urtopia Carbon 1 ST a Sanibel Island legal electric bike?

Yes, the Urtopia Carbon 1 ST eBike is fully legal to ride in Sanibel, Florida, including on all of Sanibel Island’s Shared Use Paths. The City of Sanibel only allows Class One electric bikes, which must have pedal assist only, no throttle, and a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph—and the Carbon 1 ST meets all of those requirements. It's perfect for riding along the Periwinkle Way bike path, cruising out to the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, or heading out to the Sanibel Causeway beach while staying compliant with local e-bike laws. At just 36 pounds, the Carbon 1 ST is easy to lift into your car or SUV for a full-day ride on Sanibel Island. You can test ride it just off the island at Current Riders in Fort Myers Beach, Southwest Florida’s go-to shop for Sanibel Island legal electric bikes.

What is a Class 1 eBike, and why does the Urtopia Carbon 1 ST qualify?

Yes, the Carbon 1 Step-Thru is a Class 1 electric bike, which means it offers pedal assist only, no throttle, and a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph. Class 1 is considered the safest and most widely accepted type of e-bike in Florida. Here in Southwest Florida, it’s the only class allowed in places like Sanibel Island and Estero, Florida, where local laws limit e-bike use to Class 1 only. The Urtopia Carbon 1 ST meets all of these requirements, making it legal to ride on Shared Use Paths and bike-friendly areas throughout Lee County. So whether you're cruising around Sanibel, Estero Community Park, or the Koreshan State Historic Site, the Carbon 1 ST keeps your ride smooth, compliant, and enjoyable. It’s lightweight, fast, and legal—so stop by Current Riders in Fort Myers Beach for a test ride and let us answer all your questions about Class 1 electric bikes in Southwest Florida.

What’s the difference between the Carbon 1 ST and the Carbon 1 Pro?

Both models use the same ultralight Toray carbon fiber frame, 750W peak motor with torque sensor, Samsung battery with up to 80 miles of range, and smart features like GPS and anti-theft alerts. The difference is the frame design and riding posture.

The Carbon 1 ST has a step-through frame and swept-back handlebars for an upright, relaxed riding position, which is great for comfort-focused riders. The Carbon 1 Pro features a step-over frame with flat handlebars and is forward-leaning, giving it a sportier, performance commuter ebike feel. The Carbon 1 ST weighs 36 pounds and the Carbon 1 Pro weighs 37 pounds, both are Class 1 eBikes, making them legal on Sanibel Island and Estero bike paths.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Enchanting
Format: Kindle
"Queen of Roses" by Briar Boleyn is a delightful and refreshing reimagining of the classic tale of King Arthur, with a captivating twist that places the spotlight on Morgan, a character who has often been overshadowed in traditional retellings. Boleyn's creative decision to shift the narrative perspective to Morgan breathes new life into the story, offering readers an intriguing and compelling look at the Arthurian world from an entirely different angle. One of the most commendable aspects of this book is its incorporation of Fae elements, which adds an enchanting layer of magic and mystery to the already familiar Arthurian setting. Boleyn skillfully weaves the world of the Fae into the narrative, creating a captivating backdrop against which the events of the story unfold. This addition not only adds depth to the world-building but also provides ample opportunities for twists and turns that keep readers thoroughly engrossed. However, while the book boasts numerous strengths, it does have one noticeable flaw: the characterization of Morgan. While it is reasonable to create a flawed and complex protagonist, it appears that at times, Morgan's character becomes overly difficult and hard to relate to. Her persistently negative perception of one of the main male characters, who is a potential love interest, despite his efforts to support and assist her, may come across as somewhat irrational and could test the patience of some readers. Striking a balance between a strong, independent character and one who can recognize genuine support and affection could have enhanced the overall reader experience. Nonetheless, the allure of "Queen of Roses" lies in its innovative approach to the Arthurian legend and its skillful blending of fantasy elements into a familiar narrative. Boleyn's evocative prose draws readers into a world where magic, destiny, and fate entwine, leaving us eager to uncover the mysteries that unfold within the pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An action-packed dark romantasy
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! Queen of Roses is an Arthurian-inspired dark romantasy that is the first book in the Blood of Fae series. The story follows Morgan, the princess of Camelot who is rumored to be part fae. Fueled by prejudiced hatred and a mistrust of fae blood, Morgan’s abusive father strips her of her birthright and hands it to her half-brother, Arthur. Instead of becoming queen, Morgan is commanded to join the temple of the goddesses when she comes of age. However, Arthur turns into a psychopathic, power-hungry, fae-hating king as he ages. He develops malevolent plans and commands Morgan to find an ancient weapon with legendary power. Although Morgan is wary of Arthur’s intentions, she embraces the opportunity to go on a journey and potentially change her fate. The story picks up from there and we follow Morgan on her quest to find the ancient relic. It’s full of high stakes adventure, mystery, tension, banter, forced proximity, hidden magic, self discovery, and betrayal. This first installment of the series intricately develops the world building and character development. There’s little romance in this book, but it is evident that it is a slow burn that will continue to develop throughout the remainder of the series. Overall, I loved the world building, the epic fantasy, Morgan’s journey of self discovery, and all of the twists and turns that set the stage for the future installments. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.

Not a bad start
Format: Kindle
3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.
